Am I ready to be a part of Studio U Salons?
To help ensure your success at Studio U Salons you should have an established book of clients. You should be an experienced stylist with a loyal client following to help provide a steady income. If you have an established book of clients, than you are ready to start your journey at Studio U Salons.

How expensive is it to have my own studio at Studio U Salons?
Before opening your studio at Studio U Salons you will need to pay a deposit of $200 to secure your unit. This deposit is applied to your first week rent upon move in. Studio U Salons will provide the Belvedere all-purpose chair, shampoo sink, custom cabinetry, eyeVac, SmartTV, mini-fridge and Keurig brew machine for every studio. You should expect to pay some fees associated with opening your own business.  

How do I open my own studio?
Studio U Salons has educational classes and support available to help you start your own business. At Studio U Salons, it’s all about U! We have people in place to help you get your studio started and make a smooth and successful transition. You will automatically be enrolled in Flagship Academy’s Studio U Salons program when you sign your license agreement and pay your deposit. This free program offers a wide variety of courses that will help you successfully launch your business. We also have a list of preferred vendors available for you. We will assist help you choose the right color and retail line for you. You have the option to choose from “I’m moving to” and/or “I’ve moved to” Studio U Salon cards. The cards are personalized just for you to notify your clients of your recent move.

How long is the contract for a studio at Studio U Salons?
Your success is important to us. We want this to be the right fit for you and your clients. Because of this, you will sign a License Agreement and not a contract. This agreement will allow you to leave your studio with a 30 day notice if Studio U Salons isn’t right for you. With a 30 day notice there aren’t any harsh penalties and it doesn’t lock you down into a contract you can’t get out of.

What are the options for studios at Studio U Salons?
We have 2 different size options at our SouthPark location; singles and doubles. Our single studios are about 100 square feet, and our doubles are about 160 square feet. To learn more about our studio sizes and offerings please visit the What We Offer page.

How are studio sizes and locations assigned?
Studios will be assigned on a first come basis. During the lease process, you will be able to choose your location based on our current inventory. The studio will be held for you after the reservation fee and signed License Agreement are received.

When will I be able to access my studio?
You will be able to access your studio 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Will someone clean my studio for me?
Studio U Salons will clean all common areas.  You will be responsible for the janitorial services of your individual studio.

Is there a place to do my laundry?
There are complimentary washers and dryers on site.

Can I decorate my studio?
We know each stylist wants to make their studio fit their creative design.  Because of this each stylist will be able to bring in their own art and décor for their studio.  However, stylists will not be allowed to make structural changes to the studios. Stylists will have the option to paint one accent wall with approved paint colors as provided by management.

Who has access to my studio?
All studios will have individual locks.  As the studio owner you will be the only one who has access to your studio.

Is there a vacuum system?
Studio U Salons offers an eyeVac for each studio.

Will Studio U Salons advertise my business for me?
Studio U Salons will partner with you to help you advertise your business.  Each stylist will have their own bio page on our website.  We will also feature each stylist on our social media platform and create a sign with your business name and logo on your studio.  We would encourage each stylist to also utilize their own marketing outlets to promote their business.

Is there a place for my clients to relax besides my studio?
Yes.  Studio U Salons has a client lounge designed to help your clients relax before, during or after treatments.
